These are the General Terms and Conditions of zakon.ai within the meaning of Article 295 of the Civil Obligations Act and the User agrees to them by accessing and using zakon.ai.

zakon.ai is an Internet application - a contextual AI super search engine for legal information through the customized database Zakon.hr and EUR-lex.eu

The project leader is Immersive Games doo, OIB: 92229708301 and Novi forum doo, Zagreb, Roberta Frangeša Mihanovića 6, OIB: 92006302133, registered for the provision of information society services.

Novi forum doo is not authorized to provide legal assistance or legal advice, nor does it do so through zakon.ai. Novi forum doo makes the computer program available to Users in accordance with these General Terms and Conditions, and Users use it without further participation from Novi forum doo

The purpose of this project is to provide lawyers with a better overview of legal rules, so we have enabled them to use the most powerful artificial intelligence on the market, according to the state of the art at the moment, to search the Zakon.hr and EUR-lex.eu databases.

zakon.ai is not intended for consumers or lay people, but for lawyers, business entities and public law bodies (natural persons employed in them).
We base our service on the Electronic Communications Act (OG 76/22, 14/24), and since we use generative artificial intelligence, we have aligned ourselves with the basic principles of the future EU Regulation on Artificial Intelligence.
The search result is not legal advice but a synthesized word search result and is for informational purposes only.
Although the result is formed in the form of an answer to your query for easier computer-user communication, you must check everything in the relevant regulations or consult with an appropriate legal expert. zakon.ai cannot be your only source of information or truth. This search result is not a legal rule , is not a citation of the law and cannot be relied upon in court. This search result should be used as a guideline for studying the actual texts of laws and other regulations.
This computer program does not understand what you ask it or what it answers.
Zakon.ai, based on statistics and the probability of one word appearing after another, which is memorized during the 'training' process on a large amount of texts, generates a search result in the form of a synthesis of the data it has found and provides links to sources of information.
In short, this is not about understanding and logic, but about mathematics, statistics and probability. Here we cannot talk about a correct/incorrect answer, but about a precise/imprecise search result.

This computer program has an explicit prohibition on providing answers in the form of legal advice and drafting any statements/documents/submissions. If the User manages to circumvent this prohibition, this will constitute use of this computer program contrary to its intended purpose and contrary to these General Terms and Conditions and will be grounds for termination of this subscription relationship. The User undertakes to compensate Novi forum doo for any damage that may arise from the aforementioned situation.
The result you get will be the result of a search for legal information for your query and it is very important how you formulate your query (see Instructions for Use), but your query never covers all the circumstances of the case that a lawyer would take into account.
zakon.ai is a tool for lawyers, not a service for laypeople. If you are not a lawyer, we do not recommend using zakon.ai to resolve your real legal situations, just as we would not suggest that you drive a car in real traffic without having passed your driving test. On the other hand, we ask judges and officials who make decisions about the rights and obligations of third parties to use double caution.
For the functioning of zakon.ai, we always use the latest/strongest version of the computer program (artificial intelligence) available on the market, which we specifically refine, train and test + we continuously develop and adapt the database. The result is the most powerful tool for lawyers that is constantly developing at an exponential rate, but also a lot of costs (a very expensive game) so we have to ask for compensation from you, possible interruptions in the provision of the service, uncertainty due to the experimental nature of this technology and regular updates, which the user acknowledges and accepts.
zakon.ai is in the beta phase – a finished product with all the features that we have tested, released for use to a limited number of users to test the system in real conditions and to a larger number of users for reliability, capacity, and resilience.
Search results may not be precise, unexpected results are possible, and you use this computer program at your own risk, and Novi forum doo is not liable for any damage.

zakon.ai is for private use only, meaning that it is not permitted to publish the search results elsewhere on the Internet or allow them to be used by other persons. The parties agree that the search result is a copyrighted work + is part of a protected database, in accordance with the Copyright and Related Rights Act (Official Gazette 11/21).
Novi forum doo has an exclusive license for the described use of the Zakon.hr database.

We keep all your data that we receive during the cooperation confidential, and we keep the results of your search only for the reason that we have performed the service and for the purpose of controlling our activities by the competent institutions. We do not process this data in any other way, we do not read it except for reported irregularities, and you have the right to request its deletion. In the process of processing your query, we use computer programs and services of third parties with whom we have concluded firm confidentiality agreements. In any case, as everywhere on the Internet, be careful about the confidentiality of data and we suggest that you do not ask queries that contain personal, confidential or sensitive data. Novi forum doo is not liable for damages if you act contrary to this instruction.
We share membership information with our partner Val savjetovanje doo (Zakon.hr) in order to provide access to content on Zakon.hr.

Cookies – zakon.ai only uses technical/statistical and identification cookies that are necessary to provide this service, and we do not use/process the data obtained in this way in any other way. We do not use commercial cookies nor do we pass your data on to anyone. See more about cookies here.

Relationship Novi forum doo – User
When registering, the User:
– selects a service package in accordance with the zakon.ai Service Price List, which is published on zakon.ai and, together with these General Terms and Conditions, constitutes an integral part of the subscription relationship (you can always change the package or top up)
– chooses a username
- gives his e-mail address. That e-mail address represents the main channel of communication of Novi forum doo - The user of that party gives such e-mail messages the meaning of written form and valid delivery
- provides the information necessary to create an R-1 account (name and surname, i.e. name, address, city, ID number)
– chooses a password to access the service
– accepts these General Terms and Conditions
– voluntarily signs up for the newsletter
– selects the payment method: card (via Stripe) or bank transfer
– clicking the 'Register' button places a request for access to the system – Order
– User makes a payment

After Novi forum doo receives the payment, a Subscription Agreement is created, we enable the User to use the ordered service and issue an invoice for the received payment (the User agrees to receive invoices issued and delivered electronically).

The subscription relationship is based on an indefinite period of time, a minimum of three months, and Novi forum doo will, at the end of each month, send an invoice or charge the card for the use of services in the following period.
The user may request a change in service package, which will be carried out after payment at the price of the new service package.
The exception is the 'Desetka' service package, where the user is given the opportunity to ask 10 questions/searches within 10 days of the date on which Novi forum doo receives the payment. Here, no subscription relationship has been created for an indefinite period of time, there will be no new accounts, but this is a one-time service, but all other rules of these General Terms and Conditions still apply.
The parties can also agree on another model - Special services (e.g. to be paid once a year or for several users within one organization or some additional AI services), so feel free to request such an offer via: info@zakon.ai

Novi forum doo has the right to cancel the subscription relationship with the User at any time, without giving reasons, if the User violates any of these rules or uses the service in a manner contrary to the law, mandatory regulations of the Republic of Croatia or public morality of society. In such a case, Novi forum doo will refund the User the amount paid for the unused portion of the service within 15 days of the date of delivery of the cancellation, to the account from which the payment was received.
The user has the right to cancel the subscription relationship, after the first three months of registration, at any time, without giving a reason, by email to info@zakon.ai. The user is still obliged to pay the invoice and be able to use the service until the end of the paid period in which the cancellation was made.

We have enabled users of our website to report content that they consider illegal or contrary to these Terms and Conditions of Use. The report can be made through our notification mechanism, which is available to every user. We will consider the received notification of such content without delay and in accordance with the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (Digital Services Act). You can file a complaint against the decisions we make by e-mail: info@zakon.ai In addition, if we become aware of any illegal content or content that is contrary to our Terms and Conditions of Use, we will moderate it in accordance with these Terms and Conditions of Use. We will inform you if we have applied any of the restrictive measures against you. in relation to the content you have published on our website or in relation to your user account. We will explain to you the reasons why we have taken the aforementioned restrictive measures and what your options are if you disagree with our action. If you have submitted a notification via our notification mechanism, we will also inform you of our decision in relation to the content for which you have submitted a notification. A complaint may be filed against our decision by a user to whom we have applied a restriction measure. You can file a complaint by sending an e-mail to info@zakon.ai within 6 months of receiving the notification decision or the decision on the applied restriction measure. We will process all complaints received without delay, responsibly and objectively. Complaints will be reviewed by our qualified employees. We will inform you of our decision and explain the reason for the decision and the options for further action if you disagree with our decision. All users and notifiers who have received decisions following complaints submitted via e-mail have the right to choose any out-of-court dispute resolution body certified in accordance with paragraph 3 of Article 21 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (Digital Services Act) to resolve a dispute about those decisions.

The service of using zakon.ai is a time- and content-specific service in the sense that each package offers the possibility of asking a certain number of questions within a specific time period, and in each new period you are initially entitled to the contracted number of questions (e.g. 100 questions per month from the '100 questions subscription' package).

Search results on zakon.ai are not legal advice and you must check everything in the relevant regulations or consult with an appropriate legal expert. You use zakon.ai at your own risk, and Novi forum doo is not liable for any damage that may arise from such use.
